PINEVILLE, N.C. — The Mecklenburg Fire Marshal’s Office is looking for the public’s help in identifying a group of patrons that may be able to help them in their investigation into the fire at the Edwin Watts Golf store on Saturday night that claimed the life of 20-year-old Pineville volunteer firefighter Richard Sheltra.

Investigators are looking to find and speak with patrons in the below surveillance photo who were eating at the Outback Steakhouse at 8338 Pineville-Matthews Road, about 100 yards from the golf store. The group was sitting at the patio between the hours of 8:30 p.m. and 9 p.m.

The federal government is involved in the investigation, which is routine.
