Investigation underway after woman found dead after reported fall from Myrtle Beach hotel balcony

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — Police were called to investigate after a woman was found dead after reportedly falling from a Myrtle Beach hotel balcony, according to our news partner WPDE.

The incident occurred at the Westgate Resort on Ocean Boulevard.

Myrtle Beach police reported to the resort after it was reported a person had fallen from a balcony. Officers found the female victim in the resort parking lot, where she was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officials told WPDE the death is being investigated as a suicide.
