CHARLOTTE — One person was taken to the hospital and displaced after a house fire in east Charlotte Tuesday morning, according to officials.
It started just before 4:30 a.m. along Grafton Place at a single-story duplex. According to Charlotte Fire, 30 firefighters controlled the fire in 20 minutes. Officials said they have deemed the fire accidental due to an electrical issue. The estimated loss is at $35,000.
A cat died during the fire.

MEDIC said they transported one person to the hospital. Their current condition has not been released.
