CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Restoration Hardware will become a focal point at Phillips Place, with plans for a 41,000-square-foot, two-story design gallery plus a rooftop restaurant.
Charlotte-based Lincoln Harris’ Chief Executive and Chairman Johnny Harris confirmed those plans to the Charlotte Business Journal this week and talked about what’s next for that SouthPark specialty shopping center.
“In a market that’s growing as fast as Charlotte is, there’s no better place for (Restoration Hardware),” Harris says.
He expects to invest up to $50 million over the next five years to revamp, refresh and strengthen Phillips Place. The 130,000-square-foot, 35-acre center opened in 1997 — and was the first project in town to mix retail, residential and entertainment.
