CHARLOTTE — The northbound lanes of Interstate 85 have reopened following a crash that involved an overturned tanker.
The accident occurred shortly after 4:30 a.m. Tuesday near Beatties Ford Road and involved an overturned tanker as well as other vehicles.
MEDIC said two individuals were transported from the scene due to injuries sustained in the crash. One person suffered serious injuries, while the other had minor injuries.
The northbound lanes were shut down for several hours before reopening around 7:30 a..m.
MEDIC, the Charlotte Fire Department, and the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department are on the scene.
