CHARLOTTE — A tractor-trailer crash closed the outer loop of Interstate 485 for hours in south Charlotte Friday.
Channel 9 arrived at about 5 a.m. to see emergency crews blocking the right lanes of I-485 underneath the Park Road bridge.
A tractor-trailer and a car were involved in the crash. Troopers said there was a second crash in the same area, too. They said both crashes happened before 2:30 a.m.
North Carolina Highway Patrol said no one was hurt in either crash.
The Department of Transportation estimated the lanes would be closed until at least 8 a.m.
