ROCK HILL, S.C. — Before the sun comes up each morning, the owners of Mado Paris French Bakery & Café are hard at work. Owners Serge and Odette Agonglo create authentic French pastries and baked goods in their shop at 1108 Cherry Road in Rock Hill.
Originally from West Africa, the couple met in France while attending college and have been married for 21 years.

After years of traveling from France to the Charlotte area to visit family, the Agonglos decided to move here and open the bakery. Their shop’s name is a nod to the church where they were married in Paris.
“Our philosophy is to make the best of the best and authentic French product,” Serge told Your704′s Elsa Gillis.
The flour, butter, chocolate, and even the ovens they use all come from France.
“Never frozen, everything is fresh,” Serge said.
