STATESVILLE, N.C. — Officials said they found possible human remains near where a missing man’s car was discovered last year in Iredell County.
Last August, Statesville police found Marty Teague's car off Sain Road more than a year after he disappeared.
At the time, police had trouble searching the area due to overgrowth.
Police received a call Monday about possible human remains near the road.
The State Bureau of Investigation collected the remains, which are being tested for identification.
