CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Conventional wisdom says the Charlotte Hornets have little chance at a winning record or snapping a three-year playoff drought this season. With that in mind, the NBA franchise is placing more emphasis on trying to lure fans to Spectrum Center with new concessions items and, as of this week, online parking reservations.

The Hornets play three home games this week, beginning Tuesday, and the team's arena will host an Elton John concert on Wednesday. Spectrum Center is owned by the city, but it's run by the Hornets.
"It was something that's been on our minds for a period of time," Donna Julian, Hornets executive vice president and arena general manager, told the Charlotte Business Journal. "We wanted to enhance the guest experience."
Atlanta-based ParkMobile is the software provider for the reservation service. Customers can access the reservations site online or through the ParkMobile app.
