West Charlotte house fire deemed accidential, firefighters say

CHARLOTTE — The cause of a house fire in west Charlotte Wednesday morning has been deemed accidental, according to the Charlotte Fire Department.

Firefighters responded to the fire just before 3:45 a.m. on Marlow Avenue near Wilkinson Boulevard.

Channel 9 crews observed several crews at the scene.

Firefighters said no one was injured, and the fire was extinguished quickly.

The cause of the fire was eventually deemed accidental due to an electrical malfunction within the wall of the dining room, according to the fire department.

Firefighters said the estimated property loss was $7,000.
