CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Firefighters are investigating after a house fire in west Charlotte Tuesday night was ruled arson.
It happened around 11:30 p.m. on Morton Street, which is off West Morehead Street.

Firefighters said they rescued someone from a second floor window, and they are being treated at the hospital for smoke inhalation.
Authorities have not said what caused the fire, but they did say it was intentionally set. So far, no arrests have been made.
Officials said the fire caused around $25,000 in damage to the house.
