MOORESVILLE, N.C. — Husband-and-wife team Scott and Sandy Plemmons will tap into their love of craft beer with a $1.5 million brewery in Mooresville.
Hoptown Brewing is slated to open later this year. The venture sits on a 1.3-acre parcel at 107 Plantation Ridge Drive. It is part of the high-density Morrison Plantation development.

“We went for the spot,” Scott says. “We just really want to have a deep sense of community.”
The goal is to build a place where neighbors come to hang out; over 2,000 homes are within walking or biking distance.
Hoptown makes Scott’s successful nanobrewery into a larger — and potentially scalable — operation.
