CHARLOTTE — The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department said detectives were conducting an apparent murder-suicide investigation Tuesday night in north Charlotte.
The scene was on John Dale Lane near Gibbon Road.

A man and a woman were pronounced dead at the scene.
CMPD gave an update and said this was a murder-suicide investigation.
“We located two victims,” said Maj. Gene Lim. “A victim and a suspect deceased by a gunshot wound. Both are known to each other at this time. Our preliminary investigation can tell us that.”
Police identified the victim as 63-year-old Teresa Anita Polk. The suspect was 65-year-old Michael Eugene Ewing Sr., CMPD said.
Investigators said because of its nature, the case is listed as cleared.
