CHARLOTTE — Police have arrested a man accused of stabbing a woman to death inside an east Charlotte apartment late Tuesday night.
Officials said 28-year-old Anthony Garcia has been charged with the murder of 28-year-old Tierra Watson.
CMPD detectives are investigating a homicide in the 3500 block of Taurus Drive. One person has been pronounced deceased at the scene.

Officers were called to the apartment on Taurus Drive, off North Sharon Amity Road and Central Avenue just after 11 p.m.
When they got to the apartment, they found Watson -- stabbed several times. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
CMPD identified Garcia as the man inside the apartment when officers arrived. He was charged after detectives interviewed him at police headquarters.
Authorities have not said what led up to the incident and if there was a relationship between Watson and Garcia.
