CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police are investigating a home invasion that ended with a man shot in east Charlotte.
Officers said that just after 11:30 p.m. Thursday, three men went into an apartment on Lanecrest Drive, near East W.T. Harris Boulevard.
Detectives told Channel 9 that during the attempted robbery, someone shot the homeowner in his leg.
Paramedics took that victim to the hospital with serious injuries.
No arrests have been made and no suspect description has been released.
