LANCASTER COUNTY, S.C. — The Lancaster County Planning Commission has given the nod to a plan to bring hundreds of townhomes to a site that’s part of a larger development.

The planning commission last week approved an application for a major subdivision preliminary plat from NVR Inc., Ryan Homes and ESP Associates. NVR Inc. owns the Ryan Homes brand, and ESP Associates is an engineering design firm working on the project with NVR.

The homebuilder plans to add 410 townhome lots at a nearly 97-acre site just south of Indian Land. The land is between Shelley Mullis and Collins roads, about five miles south of the Red Ventures headquarters.

Commission documents show the land is part of a larger 411-acre site with a master plan.
