CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Hundreds of people in Charlotte could have new jobs soon thanks to Home Depot.
The 450 new local jobs come as part of a major push nationwide to hire 80,000 workers for the spring season.
The company said the jobs will be seasonal positions.
However, last year the company made the same hiring push and many of those seasonal workers were brought on permanently.
This comes one day after the parent company of Food Lion announced that 500 positions will be cut across the country.
