Hit-and-run under investigation in Belmont, police say

BELMONT, N.C. — The Belmont Police Department is investigating a hit-and-run incident that occurred last year.

It happened just before 7:30 p.m. on East Catawba Street near Kevin Loftin Riverfront Park on November 23, 2024.

Witnesses told officers that a dark-colored SUV that was involved left the scene.

It was seen traveling towards the Charlotte area, according to police.
