Investigators attempt to ID body found in forest

Investigators in Burke County are trying to determine if a body found in the Pisgah National Forest is a man who was reported missing last week.

Burke County officials told Channel 9 that they found 56-year-old Richard Triplett's car off highway 181, about three miles from where hikers found the body Wednesday afternoon, at the base of Steele Creek Falls.

Officials are still working to identify the body.
