IREDELL COUNTY, N.C. — A pedestrian was struck and killed by a car near the Rowan County and Iredell County line early Sunday morning, according to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.
The crash happened just before 6:30 a.m. Sunday along Highway 150.
Highway Patrol said a vehicle was traveling west on Highway 150 when it struck a pedestrian, who was walking in the roadway.
Authorities said 31-year-old Jocelyn Liz Caballero, of Charlotte, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers said Caballero and another pedestrian were walking with traffic and not wearing bright clothing.
Officials said no one has been charged at this time, but they are still investigating.
According to troopers, the crash happened on the Rowan and Iredell County line, but the incident is reported in Iredell County.
