BURKE COUNTY, N.C. — A Morganton man died when the car he was in crashed and rolled into a ditch Friday morning.

Officials went to the crash site on Brentwood Road around 5:30 a.m.
There were three other passengers in the car, one of whom one was taken to the hospital with minor injuries, officials said.
The North Carolina Highway Patrol said 25-year-old Richard Thomas Williams was killed in the crash.

According to officials, speed is a suspected factor in the crash because the designated speed on the road is 25 mph.
