CORNELIUS, N.C. — More than 200 apartments could be coming to downtown Cornelius as part of a massive project from a Charlotte-based developer.

Highline Partners is asking to rezone property on Catawba Avenue, right next to the Cain Center.

Highline wants to build a six-story building with 263 apartments, commercial space and a parking deck.

If it gets approval, the company hopes to break ground in 2024.
