High-tech manufacturing operation owned by NASCAR star to expand

STATESVILLE, N.C. — A NASCAR driver’s manufacturing company is expanding its operations in the Charlotte region.

Today, the Iredell Economic Development Corp. announced Keselowski Advanced Manufacturing would invest nearly $4.8 million to expand in Statesville. KAM is owned and was founded by driver Brad Keselowski. The company’s factory is adjacent to Statesville Regional Airport and began operations in late 2018.

Iredell County Board of Commissioners approved incentives for the expansion last night under the codename Project Layer.
