Nearly everyone wore blue and the home game kicked off with a breakaway banner to honor No. 63, Gavin Sharpe.
In the video at the top of this webpage, reporter Erin Edwards was at the tribute to the athlete who friends said had an infectious story.
Sharpe was at a community service event Aug. 3 in the Mooresville High School parking lot near the stadium.
