RALEIGH, N.C. — Authorities in Raleigh are investigating a high-end car theft that may have connections to Charlotte, officials say.

According to investigators, a group of eight people broke into a car dealership and pried open a key box.

In just 15 minutes, they drove away with $600,000 worth of cars, authorities say.

The car dealership believes the group may be part of a larger crime ring. The same events have happened at dealerships in Winston-Salem and in Charlotte.

“If you look at all the camera angles you know them dropping them off in different parking lots they are running everywhere, almost like it was rehearsed,” said operations manager, Jeremy Stephens.

The cars taken from the dealership were a Ram 1500 TRX worth more than $90,000 and five other cars valued just as high.
