Channel 9′s Joe Bruno is working to help people find open COVID-19 vaccine appointments.

Open slots can fill up quickly, and it can be stressful trying to search for appointments and quickly grab them when they become available.

Follow reporter Joe Bruno on Twitter to get real-time appointment updates as he tracks open slots.

Here are some tips Joe has when trying to book your shot:

Tip #1:

First, he says timing is everything. Check for an appointment first thing in the morning and right before you go to bed. Instead of checking Facebook, you could be checking provider websites.

Tip #2:

Second, make an account in advance. Some providers require accounts to register. It doesn’t matter if you are not a patient -- go ahead and make accounts with Atrium, Novant, CaroMont Health, Walgreens and CVS. That way, if you find out about an appointment, all you will have to do is log in.

Tip #3:

Also, be willing to travel or go somewhere different. You don’t have to be a resident of the county you are getting a shot in. And again, you don’t have to be a patient of the provider to get your shot.
