CHARLOTTE — According to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, most missing persons are found or return home within just a few days. These are the cases where they haven’t come back, and no one has publicly heard from them since.

CMPD receives more than 3,500 missing persons reports annually. Approximately 70% of the reports involve juveniles between 13 and 17 years old.
