CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police said a traffic stop led to a crash Thursday morning outside uptown Charlotte.
Channel 9 crews could see a black vehicle upside down around 11 a.m. near the intersection of North Davidson Street and Parkwood Avenue.
There were several officers and a tow truck at the scene.
Police said officers tried to pull over the vehicle, but the driver wouldn’t stop.
They said the suspect vehicle took off and caused a crash involving four cars. Two people were taken to the hospital but are expected to be OK.
The Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office said one of its patrol cars, which was not involved in the pursuit, was in a minor accident with another vehicle.
Police said a suspect was taken into custody. They have not said what charges that person may face.
