Habitat for Humanity ReStores to honor President Jimmy Carter

CHARLOTTE — Habitat for Humanity ReStores will be honoring the legacy of President Jimmy Carter.

The nonprofit said it is encouraging the community to visit one of its locations to sign a stud and leave a message for Carter.

Carter, along with his wife, Rosalynn Carter, worked with the organization through the years, including the 1987 Carter Work Project and the first-ever Women Build in 1991.

The couple then returned to Charlotte for the Carter Work Project in 2023.

Habitat for Humanity ReStores will have studs to sign over the next several days.
