Police said an armed man covered in black clothing jumped out of the van and tried to rob the manager.

The man pressed the gun against the manager's head and pulled the trigger twice, but the gun did not fire, officials said.

Witnesses told police another man waited in the minivan during the attempted robbery.

A statement from Sonic stated that several customers were sitting outside at the time, but no one was injured.

Detectives found the minivan sometime Saturday in a neighborhood a few blocks away from the Sonic. They processed the minivan for fingerprints before returning it to the owner.

No one has been arrested, but police have released a description of one of the men.

He’s described as a black male, in his early 20s, with a medium complexion. He is 6 feet tall and has blondish dreads with red tips, just shorter than collar length. He was wearing a black T-shirt, black track pants with a white stripe down the side of the leg, and black sneakers.

Police said the man is armed with a revolver.
