CHARLOTTE — Gunfire struck school bus No. 1748 from Albemarle Middle School on Monday afternoon in east Charlotte, school district officials said. It happened in the area of East. W.T. Boulevard where it turns into North Idlewild Road.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools officials said the shooting stemmed from a dispute outside the bus.
Part of a window was shut out with two bullet holes next to it.
There were about 30 students onboard and two of them were treated for minor injuries after being hit by glass.
No one was shot, and the shooter was arrested.
