CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police are trying to figure out who shot a person in west Charlotte overnight, roughly 12 hours after a man was shot in the same neighborhood.
The gunfire rang out around 11:30 p.m. on Effingham Road, just off Tuckaseegee Road.
Authorities said the victim's injuries are not life-threatening.
No arrests have been made and police have not released any suspect information.
Just before noon Monday, Chopper 9 Skyzoom flew over the same street after a man was shot while inside a car.

He was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries.
Investigators have not said if the cases are connected or released any other details about the crimes.
