CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The city of Charlotte has been receiving complaints Saturday morning about people possibly not following Mecklenburg County’s stay-at-home order.

There was a protest at a preferred women’s health center in the Grier Heights neighborhood.

“They’re putting our first responders at risk if they have to show up,” Charlotte Mayor Pro Tem Julie Eiselt said. “I just think it’s unconscionable. You can agree or disagree with reproductive healthcare, but it doesn’t matter. It’s legal. It’s deemed an essential business.”
