CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The official groundbreaking ceremony for a big uptown apartment complex will take place Thursday morning.
Construction has already started at Gateway West, which will have both apartments and retail space.
The complex will be five stories tall with 290 apartments at the conclusion of construction.
The project includes a 334-space parking deck.
Gateway West is expected to be finished by February 2014.
