Grocery-anchored development planned in east Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A Florida-based real estate developer has filed plans with the city to build a grocery-anchored retail center in east Charlotte, near Mint Hill.

Equinox Development, based in Maitland, Florida, filed a rezoning petition last week for an 11.2-acre site at 11409 Rocky River Church Road, at the intersection of Rocky River Church and Albemarle roads.

The undeveloped site is near the Cresswind Charlotte housing development and Interstate 485.
