CHARLOTTE, N.C. — There will soon be a new competitor in town for your grocery dollars. Farmstead, a San Francisco-based company that offers grocery delivery service — but has no traditional, bricks-and-mortar stores, plans to debut here in mid-November.
This will mark the company’s first expansion outside of its home market.
Farmstead buys directly from wholesalers and uses proprietary, artificial intelligence technology to anticipate demand, stock its warehouse accordingly and map out the best routes for its delivery workers.
