RICHMOND COUNTY, N.C. — Gov. Roy Cooper’s tour of counties impacted by Hurricane Florence brought him to our area on Monday.
The governor stopped to thank emergency responders for their work in Richmond County.

Richmond is one of 28 counties in North Carolina declared federal disaster zones.
“Clearly there was some significant damage done here. Thankfully, no lives were lost in Richmond County,” the governor said.
