CHARLOTTE — Gov. Roy Cooper tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday, more than three years after the virus first showed up in North Carolina.
Cooper announced the positive result on Twitter, adding that he was feeling fine. He said he would be working remotely for the week, and he’s hoping to be back out by the weekend.
It’s not the first time Cooper has tested positive for the virus. In June of 2022, the governor took Paxlovid to treat a bout with Covid.
