NASH COUNTY, N.C. — After eight years as North Carolina’s chief executive, Gov. Roy Cooper is saying goodbye to the office.
Cooper is returning home to Nash County Wednesday to deliver his farewell address.

Cooper’s office says he’ll reflect on his time as the 75th governor of the Tar Heel state.
His speech is scheduled to start at 11 a.m. at the Nash County Community College.
