HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. — Girly graphic tees and mini doughnuts are headed to Birkdale Village.
North American Properties confirmed it has signed one-year deals with Girl Tribe and Sugar+Ice to occupy space at the mixed-use development off Sam Furr Road, near Interstate 77, in Huntersville.

Both will be in the tiny retail district, located near Regal Cinemas. That area is comprised of retail kiosks, designed to serve as incubators for local small-business operators.
Girl Tribe will operate a 250-square-foot retail shop, which will be transformed with pops of pink, purple and disco-ball chandeliers. There will be space next door for Byrdie — the brand’s 1972 camper van turned pop-up shop.
Sugar+Ice is the vision of Huntersville locals Ryan and Natalia Schooley, co-owners of international wholesale supplier State Fair Mini Donuts. This location fills the couple’s dreams of launching a bricks-and-mortar location, after hosting pop-up events at Birkdale Village over the past few years.
