GASTONIA, N.C. — Gastonia's Moloch Elks Lodge and Orchid Temple are collecting donations through October in Gastonia for Hurricane Dorian relief efforts in the Bahamas.
“We are collecting all that we can,” said Jackie Kendrick, an Orchid Temple member and organizer of the drive. “Nothing is too little. Nothing is too large."
They are asking for any non-perishable items and said there is a huge need for items such as baby blankets, onesies, burping cloths, wipes, food and formula and diapers.
Items may be dropped off at 321 W. Allison Ave. on Oct. 3, 8, 15, 24, 28 and Nov. 6 between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. People can also contact Kendrick at 704-898-6565 to drop off donations.
