Garth Brooks concert at Bank of America Stadium rescheduled to fall

Garth Brooks (Rick Diamond)

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Garth Brooks fans have been patiently waiting to hear the thunder roll in Charlotte.

If you’re keeping track, the country music star was originally scheduled to perform at Bank of America Stadium on May 2, 2020; however, that date has been rescheduled a few times because of the pandemic.

A new date is now set for Sept. 25.

This will be the only stop in North or South Carolina on Brooks’ “The Stadium Tour.”

All tickets purchased will be honored. For information on refunds and other ticket options, click here.

In December, when tickets went on sale for the original date, stadium officials said 74,000 tickets were sold in 90 minutes.

Other shows scheduled for Bank of America Stadium in 2020 that were impacted by the coronavirus pandemic include Billy Joel, who rescheduled his April concert to 2021, Motley Crüe and Def Leppard, who rescheduled their summer tour to June 2021, and the Rolling Stones, who postponed their summer tour in 2020.
