Officials have released the full body camera video of Charlotte-Mecklenburg police officers arresting a suspect after a police chase in March 2016.
The full video was released after CMPD Chief Kerr Putney requested it from the courts.
Before his arrest, CMPD officers said James Yarborough forced an officer into oncoming traffic, injuring him, then took off running. That is the point at which the body camera video begins.

Putney said he was disturbed by some of what he saw on body camera, but he believes that the community needs to see the video in its entirety.
“My reaction, any time I see a use of force, I hold my breath like anybody else,” Putney said about the video which shows several officers wrestling with Yarborough as they tried to arrest him on weapons charges.
Court records show that officers tried to stop Yarborough in connection with a theft investigation.
Yarborough admitted that he took off running.
“I know, I ran, I ran,” Yarborough told Boyd.

The video shows Officer Jon Dunham pointing a gun to Yarborough's head and saying, "I will kill you."
CMPD told Channel 9 in a statement that there was no wrongdoing.
“An internal investigation concluded that due to the totality of the events, Officer Dunham's use of force did not violate department policies and or directives,” the statement read in part. “It was recommended that Officer Dunham receive additional verbal communication training following the incident.”
Dunham later resigned from CMPD.
