Watts was last seen on July 16 in University City after arriving from Moore County.
A vigil was held Tuesday night for Watts in Moore County so friends and relatives could offer support.
“All of these people are holding onto hope,” said Amber Cain, Watts cousin. “Many of them are wearing green -- Allisha Watts’ favorite color and a symbol of peace.”
Cain said Watts ability to make others smile is what makes her so loved.
“Allisha touches everyone she comes in contact with,” Cain said. “She just she pours herself into you.”
Watts’ family told the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department that she hasn’t contacted anyone since mid-July.
Relatives said that was the last time they saw her leaving her boyfriend’s home in University City.
“That’s the troubling part, is that we haven’t had a glimpse of her or inkling of her,” said Dorothy Brown, a friend.
The Anson County Sheriff’s Office said state highway patrol found Watts’ black Mercedes on July 18 at the DMV.

Deputies said her boyfriend was in the car unresponsive and was later taken to a hospital.
CMPD isn’t telling Channel 9 whether he’s a suspect or person of interest in the case, and they’ve refused to comment with any additional details, so we’re not sharing his name.
Dozens of friends and relatives from Watts’ hometown are expected to travel to Charlotte Wednesday morning. They plan to visit CMPD headquarters to bring more attention to the investigation.
More than 100 people lifted their hands in prayer Tuesday night at a candlelight vigil near her home in Moore County.
Cain said she’s confident she will reunite with Watts soon.
“We have no doubt in our mind she’s coming home,” Cain said. “We’re not going to put it in in the atmosphere any other way.”
