POLKTON, N.C. — Friends and family members of Allisha Watts are demanding that police be more transparent in their search for the missing woman.
“You don’t have to tell us every detail,” a speaker said at the gathering. “You don’t have to compromise the case, but let us know something.”
It’s been three weeks since Watts was last seen at her boyfriend’s house in University City.
In the video at the top of this page, loved ones met in Anson County to call on the police to do more to bring her home.
“They dropped the ball when they let him go out of the hospital on (July 20) and discharge himself,” said Tea Hines, Watts’ cousin. “Like, how did you get from the hospital to wherever you are?”
Hines is gathering volunteers and organizing searches.
