None — A new mobile app helps track sex offenders anywhere in North Carolina.
The state's attorney general will officially unveil the app next week, but Eyewitness News showed it to parents on Friday.
By tapping the "Current Location" tab, the app makes a map showing the registered sex offenders with one, three and five miles of your location.
It also provides pictures and information on what the offender was convicted of.
While in Freedom Park in Dilworth, the app showed one offender within one mile, and 234 within five miles of the park.
Parents called it useful.
"We take the kids everywhere," Katie Richer said. "We're nannies and we take them to parks and to lunch, and you just never know. So that'd be a good app to have."
The app is available free for the iPhone, and will soon be available for Android users.
