CHARLOTTE — The Levine Center for the Arts in Uptown has launched a weekly event series that includes free admission to several museums, concerts, and other entertainment.

Wednesday Night Live offers free admission to the Mint Museum Uptown, Bechtler Museum of Modern Art and Harvey B. Gantt Center for African-American Arts + Culture from 5 to 9 p.m. every Wednesday. In addition, there will be live entertainment or programming at one of the museums or at the neighboring Knight Theater each week.
The special programming, which will rotate among the venues, includes everything from Brazilian dance performances to spoken-word artists to film screenings. In the event that there’s a fifth Wednesday in a month, there will be no programming, just free admission.
