CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Kevin Olsen dodged questions as he walked out of the courthouse, but his defense attorney, George Laughrum, said his client is “100 percent not guilty.”
On Thursday, Olsen, the former UNC Charlotte quarterback, pleaded not guilty in court.

Laughrum said his client was offered a plea deal, but he rejected it.
Laughrum said they rejected the plea deal because he believes Olsen is innocent and he has confidence in the court system.
"We are prepared to enter not guilty pleas to all charges,” Laughrum said.
Olsen didn't show any emotion when he faced the judge or when he turned to walk back toward Channel 9’s camera.
He was flanked by his parents, but his older brother, Greg Olsen, the Panthers' star tight end, was not in court.
Kevin Olsen was charged in February for the suspected attack on a woman in an off-campus apartment. The grand jury handed up indictments on three counts of second-degree rape, two counts of assault on a female and one count of second-degree sexual offense.
The woman Olsen is accused of raping appeared in court. She left while trying to hold back tears.
Her attorneys said she doesn't want to comment.
Olsen will be back in court for his next hearing on Dec. 6.
Prosecutors said Olsen texted the woman and threatened to kill her. They said he raped her, punched her in the face and threatened to kill himself, wrapping a phone charger around his neck.
Olsen has been suspended from UNC Charlotte athletics.
