CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A man is suing Charlotte professional wrestling legend Ric Flair and his daughter, Charlotte.

Charlotte's ex-husband Riki Johnson is suing the pair and World Wrestling Entertainment as well as the co-author of the Flairs' auto-biography "Second Nature."

Johnson is demanding $5.5 million in the lawsuit that is going to federal court.

Johnson said they make several false claims in the book.

The claims include physical and psychological abuse against both Ric and Charlotte.

Johnson also said Charlotte lied when she said he was fired from two jobs because he was doing drugs.

In the lawsuit, Johnson said the authors disregarded the fact the claims were false.

Johnson added the claims were all an effort to improve Charlotte's reputation.

Channel 9 reached out to both Ric and Charlotte Flair for a response, but have not heard back from them.

A statement from the WWE said, "We recently received what appears to be a meritless lawsuit and we will vigorously defend ourselves."
