Former Bank of America uptown tower changes hands in $271.5M deal

CHARLOTTE — Cousins Properties Inc. has sold its uptown tower at Trade and Tryon streets. The company said Thursday it sold One South at the Plaza for $271.5 million.

Cousins announced the deal on Thursday afternoon. The Charlotte Business Journal, citing multiple sourcesreported earlier that morning that Cousins had reached a deal to sell One South at the Plaza to Tourmaline Capital Partners.

The tower was formerly known as Bank of America Plaza and is at 101 S. Tryon St. Cousins rebranded the building earlier this year after former anchor tenant Bank of America Corp. left the building at the end of 2020.
